Today I resigned
Finally I did!
It’s been a long time
Five long years!
A learning experience
Though a sharp feeling
Of being used
Of being deprived
A chunk of my life
Given away
An experience
But nothing else
Perhaps this is
A new beginning
Perhaps better things
Are on my way
I will sorely miss
The people, the work
But never really
The lousy pay
And with that thought
I feel very nice
It was time
To move away
They have been long
Long five years
Today I did
I finally resigned!

wow! Resignation was never this poetic :) I love this, and someday when I resign - I'll send this poem as my parting mail (ofcourse with due credits to the poet i.e. you)

I remember leaving my 1st job. It felt like I was leaving a part of me behind. And I knew...I would be missed.
I've gotten used to that farewell by now... ;) To be very honest, I quite enjoy drafting those farewell mails...anudr excuse...to write!
Sometimes, you can be happy to leave and sometimes, it can be rather painful!
But I think I've mastered it all! ;)
